Is it too early to think about snow?

Not for Serious Skiers, because the best adventures are planned before the snow falls.

Autumn is settling in on the Troll Peninsula. The air is crisp, the heaths are in late-summer bloom, and the hills are awash in the deep reds and golds of crowberries, moss campion, and Arctic thyme. Farmers gather sheep from the highlands, and the light takes on that sharp, angled glow that hints—just barely—at the winter to come.

At Summit Heliskiing, we’re already looking toward April 11 through May 4, when the mountains transform into our high‑octane playground. It’s not too early. In fact, now is the ideal time to plan a heliskiing adventure you’ll talk about for years.

📆 Why Booking Early Matters

There are only a handful of weeks in our season—less than a month, in fact. That makes early planning essential:

  • Prime slots fill quickly. April and early May offer everything from deep snow to silky corn, and groups are already reserving.
  • Our lodge and guides are boutique-sized. This isn’t mass tourism. It’s tailored, hosted, and local.
  • Custom trips need a head start. Extra ski days, splitboarding, private soaking—let’s build it early.

❄️ What the Last Spring Snow Taught Us

Last season wasn’t about deep dumps every day. It was about variety. Some days brought fresh powder up high; others delivered dreamy corn snow. That contrast added texture to the skiing experience.

“The whole setup is top class. Lodge, food, hospitality, guiding, terrain. Highly recommended!”
“All service and guidance was really excellent. Amazing experience!”
“Friendly, professional guides and amazing terrain. Unforgettable experience.”
